Bon Secour Paranormal Investigations

Reaching The Other Side

Fort Barancas

We have done a few short investigations at Fort Barancas and have found there is activity all around the fort! Erika, one of our junior investigators, was knocked to the ground in the stairwell going down to the water battery! We have one EVP also at the same moment she was knocked down.

We have investigated Swift School several times. We have gotten EVPs, apparitions, and some orbs. Richard has had a twist type flashlight that was hanging from his belt turn on for no apparent reason, and a child jump up on his back as if for a piggy-back ride. Evelyn has had a child swing in her lap. This place is definately haunted. We will continue to investigate it as it seems we have something new all the time.

We have investigated a local house that was reported to have one mean person and one nice person that talks to the small child of the household. This house is an ongoing investigation due to the EVPs we have collected so far. At this time we have not gotten an apparition, just unexplained activity, EVPs, and readings from the gauss meter.

Built in 1833, the Oakleigh mansion in Mobile is rich in history and stories of the super natural.

Saturday night, a team of people calling themselves paranormal experts went inside the house, looking for evidence of ghosts. News Five went along for the haunted tour.

Once inside Oakleigh mansion, strange things began to happen.     One ghost hunter says she felt phantom kerosene spill on her face.  The paranormal team noticed a heavy chandelier swaying, although no wind was blowing through the house.

Richard Johnson is the leader of the Bon Secour Paranormal Investigations team.  The paranormal researchers brought special equipment along to record their findings.   "An E.M.F. Meter measures electromagnetic fields and, supposedly when there's paranormal activity happening, there's a type of electricity you can pick up with these meters."  says Johnson.

There are some people who believe the idea of ghosts and spirits is complete  nonsense, but the Investigations team members think the paranormal is a real thing.
